Good to know

  • Power-on gives four tracks: IT'S A PROPHET 5, FM6 SOLID BASS, CZ-1 SYNTH.LEAD 1 and the 808 kit.
  • Projects save themselves after 5 s stopped and untouched once they have a slot; turn AUTOSAVE off in the HOME-held menu.
  • Tap GLO or SEL slowly for the next page: two quick taps lock its quick layer open (tap it again to close).
  • SEQ > TEMPO holds BPM, swing and QNT: OFF keeps your played timing, a division quantizes the new take.
  • Jam to song: switch patterns while playing, then on SEQ > SONG hold REC to turn the jam into the song.
  • Holding OCT- and OCT+ for 5 s while running enters update mode; let go during the countdown to cancel.
  • Something wrong after an update? Hold OCT- alone while switching on: three key flashes, then reinstall from the web installer.

A community cheat sheet by the hub, not by the firmware's makers: when in doubt, their manual is right.
