The LXR-02, open source

Erica Synths opened the firmware of its LXR-02 drum machine under the GPL-3.0: the voices, the sequencer, the FX, all of it, to change and share. Here is the official firmware, and the mods people build on it as they come.

Installed from the SD card, at your own risk. The LXR-02's bootloader installs an .img from the SD card; the hub can't install these over USB. Erica Synths supports only its official firmware. You can always go back to it, but if a custom firmware damages the bootloader, the unit has to be repaired by Erica Synths, at a charge. Back up your SD card first. These are independent projects, not made or endorsed by Erica Synths; "Erica Synths" and "LXR" are its names.

Erica Synths' own firmware, now open source: the drum voices, the FX bus, the step sequencer, MIDI over DIN and USB, presets on the SD card and the screen and buttons. The base every LXR-02 mod will start from.

Build it (CMake and the ARM toolchain), copy the LXR_V2_V<version>.img to the SD card and switch on: the bootloader installs it. Erica's official update goes on the same way: it is the way back.
