Getting around

Good to know
- Every synth track is a real DX7: 6 operators, 32 algorithms, Dexed's engine; at CUT 127 a patch sounds as on a DX7.
- PRESETS runs through 20 factory voices (EPIANO, FM BASS, BRASS...), then the 32 voices of your DX7 bank, then user presets.
- Load your own DX7 banks (.syx, 32 voices) in the web editor: 8 banks fit in flash; the voice list's Bank row picks one.
- Drums are FM too: kits DX KIT, 808 FM, ELECTRO, METAL and MY KIT. On the drum sound page the key you play picks the sound, KNOB 1-4 = TUNE, DECAY, SWEEP, BRIGHT.
- Every function button is a layer: hold it and the keys and knobs change job; a short tap opens its pages.
- Patterns go up to 128 steps: hold SEQ and tap OCT- / OCT+ for the 16-step pages.
- MIDI: tap GLO and tap again for MIDI, MIDI 2, MIDI 3 (a channel per track, clock); GLO + black key 1 = MIDI LEARN.
- Autosave: stop and leave it 2.5 s; it comes back as you left it at power-on.
