Getting around

- Back to the faders: KNOB 1-4 = channel volumes 1-4.

- Pick the pad to edit (A1-D8) without playing it.

Playing
- white key 1-16
- Play pads: keys 1-8 bank A, 9-16 bank B.
- tap OCT+
- Banks C + D on the keys (OCT-: back to A + B).
- black key 1-11
- Go to loop 1-11 (while playing: at the loop's end).
- turn PRESETS
- Swap the sample on the pad you hit last.
- tap ARP
- MULTI PITCH: last pad on all 27 keys; ARP again: off.
- hold GLO+white key 1-8
- Mute channels 1-8 (keys 9-16: solo).
- tap ENV
- Tap tempo: tap it on the beat, twice or more.
Sound
- turn KNOB 1
- On the faders: volume of channel 1 (KNOB 2-4: 2-4).
- tap EDIT+turn KNOB 1
- WAVE page: choose the pad's sample.
- EDIT twice+turn KNOB 1
- SOUND page: tune (KNOB 2 fine, 3 decay, 4 level).
- EDIT 3 times+turn KNOB 4
- TRUNC page: SPEED 33, lower and grittier (KNOB 3 reverse).
- EDIT 4 times+turn KNOB 2
- OUT page: pan; CUT and RESO filter pads 1-2 only.
Sequencer / patterns
- tap PLAY
- Start / stop the loop.
- tap REC+tap PLAY
- Arm, count in 4 3 2 1, then record.
- tap REC
- While playing: overdub on / off.
- tap REC
- End the first take: an AUTO loop takes its length.
- hold REC
- Hold 2 seconds: clear the loop.
- hold SEQ+white key 1-16
- Set / clear the last pad's 16 steps.
- hold SEQ+tap OCT+
- Step grid: next bar (OCT-: previous bar).
- hold LFO+white key 1-16
- Erase that pad's hits (stopped: all at once).
- tap SEQ+turn KNOB 2
- Loop length: AUTO or 1-32 bars (KNOB 3 quantise, 4 swing).
- GLO twice+turn KNOB 2
- Count-in: off, 1 bar or 2 bars.
Effects
- hold FX+white key 1-4
- Punch-in while held: roll 1/8, roll 1/16, reverse, tape stop.
- hold FX+hold OCT-
- Reverb throw while held (OCT+: echo throw).
- tap FX+turn KNOB 1
- DJ filter on the mix: left low-pass, right high-pass.
- EDIT 5 times+turn KNOB 4
- SENDS page: this pad's reverb (KNOB 3 delay, 2 chorus, 1 drive).
Saving & loading
- tap SAVE
- Save now (playing: at the stop); it also saves by itself.
- hold SAVE+black key 1-11
- Copy this loop into that loop.
- tap SEQ+turn KNOB 1
- Stopped: pick loop 1-16 (12-16 have no black key).
Recovery
- hold EDIT+tap OCT-
- Undo the last clear, erase or copy (again: redo).
- tap GLO+turn KNOB 4+turn KNOB 4
- Stopped: factory reset; all loops and songs are gone.
- hold OCT-+power on
- USB rescue mode: reinstall from the web installer.
Good to know
- First beat: REC, PLAY, wait for 4 3 2 1, play white key 1 (kick) and 2 (snare), REC again.
- Factory kit: A1 kick, A2 snare, A3 hat, A4 clap; B1-B4 the same, lower and grittier.
- AUTO CORRECT (1/16) puts your hits on the grid; set it on SEQ > LOOP, KNOB 3.
- A pad plays on the channel of its position: pad 3 of every bank is fader 3.
- Turn TUNE, FINE, DECAY or CUT while recording: those hits keep the change.
- Pages close by themselves after 12 s (GLO > SETUP > BACK changes that).
- Sound dull or thin? FX > FILTER back to the centre (OFF); mute, solo and the DJ filter are not saved.
- Songs: SEQ three times opens SONG; chain loops there and PLAY plays the song.

- USB MIDI: notes 36-67 play pads A1-D8; Program Change 0-15 picks loop 1-16.
