The list (newsletter)

When you sign up we store your email address, your language, where you came from (e.g. "hub" or "youtube"), the text of your consent, and the time and IP address of your sign-up and of your confirmation. Time and IP only serve as proof of your consent. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR); for the proof, our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

We use double opt-in: you get a mail with a confirmation link, and only after confirming are you on the list. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted automatically after 14 days.

The data lives in a database on our own server, rented from Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) in its data centre in Helsinki (Finland, EU). Hetzner processes the data only on our behalf (data processing agreement, Art. 28 GDPR). We use no newsletter service, share nothing with third parties and don't track opens or clicks. Mails are sent through the mail server of our own mailbox at ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich (Friedersdorf, Germany).

We write to you about VIBE FM: first details, early-bird pricing, design questions and the start of the crowdfunding campaign. You can leave anytime, with the link in every mail or by mailing us. Your address is then deleted.

Survey

The survey after signing up is voluntary; you can skip any question. We store the answers with your sign-up to plan the device around what people want (consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). If you unsubscribe, only the answers remain, without your address.

Server, Cloudflare

When you open the page, the network service Cloudflare (Cloudflare Inc., USA; certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) processes technically necessary connection data such as your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from attacks (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Against abuse we count sign-up attempts per IP address; the IP is stored only hashed and for at most 24 hours.

Statistics, cookies, fonts

For simple usage statistics we use Matomo, self-hosted on matomo.designburgapps.com, without cookies. Only page views, referrer, browser and device type are recorded. IP addresses are anonymised at once (the last two bytes removed); there are no visitor profiles, Do Not Track is respected, raw data is deleted after 180 days (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). This page sets no cookies. Fonts are loaded from our server, not from Google.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and you can withdraw your consent anytime with effect for the future. A mail to zven@thefirmwarehub.com is enough. You can also complain to a data protection authority, e.g. the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
